1973 Photographs "New Dawn", volcanic eruption in Heimaey, Iceland. "Probably the turning point for my photography. I had seen an article in the New York Times about the volcano that morning and I flew there that evening. It was like being in the center of a science fiction movie! This whole town was a very active volcano and I was experiencing the ultimate reality trip. This was a focal point for me and I decided to get more involved in conceptual photography."
